Previous versions of WSW have been pretty reliable at showing RSS feeds in the status bar.

I have just clicked on two sites that claim to have RSS feeds only to be told that there isn't one.

Previous versions did this in real time, but we figured out that this could be a bottleneck for large pages and/or many opened tabs.

In the current version, the RSS feed addresses are extracted on demand when you press this button to avoid these bottlenecks. If you want I can re-introduce it as program tweak, but it's currently not planned to re-introduce it as default behavior.

I never noticed any delays, but maybe I was not watching.

The opportunity to have a page flag up if there is an RSS feed is invaluable for me. It is one reason for preferring WSW over other options.

I visit a lot of pages that do not have RSS feeds, listing press releases for example. But as RSS becomes available, sometimes because I have suggested it, I like to switch over to feeds rather than page monitoring.

Not having this feature makes WSW less useful to me, so if I can have that option back, I would be very happy.

I think I could re-introduce the old behavior with some internal optimizations. It's now enabled by default, let's see how it will behave...

Thanks for the rapid response in putting it back. Much appreciated.

Thanks also for the "Close" "X" on tabs.

Now, what else can I ask Father Christmas to deliver?
