Depending on the feature you use, WebSite-Watcher uses different databases to store Cookies.


WebSite-Watcher uses four separate Cookie databases:


  1. View pages in browser tabs
    WebSite-Watcher uses an embedded Chromium browser to display Bookmarks and online pages. Cookies created while displaying pages in the internal browser are not used when checking Bookmarks. The check process uses isolated Cookie databases. Changes made in a browser tab do not affect Bookmark checks.

  2. Check technology "Default"
    When you check Bookmarks using the technology "Default", WebSite-Watcher uses a separate Cookie database dedicated to this check technology. To manage Cookies for a Bookmark, right-click the Bookmark in the main window and select "Browser".

  3. Check technology "Browser: Chromium", Chromium-Macros, and "Screenshot: Chromium"
    When you check Bookmarks using one of these technologies, WebSite-Watcher uses a separate Cookie database dedicated to these technologies. To manage Cookies for a Bookmark, right-click the Bookmark in the main window and select "Browser".

  4. Check technology "Browser: Edge", Edge-Macros, and "Screenshot: Edge"
    When you check Bookmarks using one of these technologies, WebSite-Watcher uses a separate Cookie database dedicated to these technologies. To manage Cookies for a Bookmark, right-click the Bookmark in the main window and select "Browser".

  5. Check technology "Internet Explorer/Browser" and Internet Explorer Macros
    When you check Bookmarks using one of these technologies, WebSite-Watcher uses the Internet Explorer Cookie database. To manage Cookies for a Bookmark, right-click the Bookmark in the main window and select "Browser".


These Cookie databases operate independently. Cookies are not shared between technologies.
