Highlight methods
When an update is detected, WebSite-Watcher highlights all text changes on the page. WebSite-Watcher supports different methods for highlighting text:
- Standard
The Standard method is a general-purpose method that works with most types of pages. It is designed to ignore changes in the page structure, for example when content is moved to another position, and works very well for news pages. This is the recommended default method. The other methods are optimized for specific situations or page types. - Exact
The Exact method uses a more detailed analysis to detect changes. It may work better on pages where only small details are updated, for example individual numbers within a table. Depending on the page structure, this method may produce more precise results than the Standard method - Table based (highlight whole, changed rows)
Use this method if you want to highlight entire table rows when the content of at least one cell has changed. To prevent a row from being highlighted when only numeric columns have changed, select the option "Cells with a changed number don't highlight the whole line"..
Steps:
1. Open the Bookmark properties.
2. Select the "Advanced" tab.
3. Select "Highlight changes" on the left side.
4. Enter the highlight configuration.
