Transfer Files Manually

Bookmarks are stored in database files with the extension *.wsw. Downloaded Cache files are stored in the related subfolder *_WSW. If your Bookmark file is named "bookmarks.wsw", all downloaded files are stored in the related subfolder "bookmarks_WSW".

To transfer all Bookmarks between two PCs, copy the *.wsw file and the related *_WSW Cache folder to the second PC using a file manager.

On the second PC, open the transferred Bookmark file using "File + Open".

Transfer via Backup/Restore

WebSite-Watcher provides an internal Backup/Restore feature that can be used to copy or transfer program configurations and Bookmark databases between PCs.

Steps to copy Bookmarks and program configurations from PC1 to PC2:

  1. On PC1, click "Tools + Backup/Restore".
  2. On PC1, select "Backup" and follow the assistant. This creates a single backup file, for example "wsw_bookmark.wswpac".
  3. Copy the file "wsw_bookmark.wswpac" from PC1 to PC2.
  4. On PC2, click "Tools + Backup/Restore".
  5. On PC2, select "Restore" and follow the assistant. When prompted for the "Backup file", select the file "wsw_bookmark.wswpac" created in step 2.

If you no longer need WebSite-Watcher on PC1, deactivate the license using "Help + Deactivate license".

Transfer via Synchronization

To keep two existing Bookmark databases synchronized, use the Synchronization feature.
