Bookmark Check

  • Notification when a page is initialized for the first time
    During the first check, a page is initialized. Only subsequent checks can detect updates. If this option is enabled, you will receive an update notification when the page is initialized during the first check. No bookmark actions, for example "Send email", are performed in this case.

  • Notification after XX errors in a row
    If a Bookmark reaches the specified number of consecutive errors, you will receive an update notification. As soon as you open the page, the error counter is reset to zero. No bookmark actions, for example "Send email", are performed in this case.

  • If an error occurs, repeat the bookmark check a second time
    If a Bookmark check fails with an error, the Bookmark is reinserted into the check queue for a second attempt.

AutoWatch

WebSite-Watcher supports an automated checking method called AutoWatch, which monitors Bookmarks automatically at predefined time intervals. You can enable this mode by clicking the AutoWatch button ui01a_autowatch in the toolbar.


  • Start AutoWatch when starting WebSite-Watcher
    If this option is enabled, AutoWatch starts automatically when WebSite-Watcher is launched.

  • Delay before first check
    Enter the countdown in seconds before the first check is executed. After the first check, WebSite-Watcher calculates the next countdown automatically based on the time configuration of each Bookmark.

Automatic AutoWatch Interval

The "Automatic AutoWatch Interval" allows WebSite-Watcher to use optimized time configurations automatically, based on the previous update frequency.


Active pages are checked more frequently, while pages that remain unchanged for months are checked less frequently. This option is intended for Bookmarks where it is not critical to receive an update notification immediately.


If a Bookmark check does not detect changes, the time interval can increase up to the specified maximum. If changes are detected, the time interval is reset to the specified minimum, and a new adjustment cycle begins.


Automatic time configuration and Keywords:

If Keywords are specified in the Bookmark properties, see Keyword Monitoring, the time interval is also reset to the specified minimum when the page has changed but no Keywords were found.
