How to change a password in Check-Macros
User question:
> I have recorded several macros for a certain page where I have now a
> new password. Is it possible to change the password in existing
> check macros?
As passwords are stored encrypted in Check-Macros, it's not directly possible to change the password in the macro source. If you have to change the password in a check macro, you have two ways:
1. | Re-record the check macro, or |
2. | Use the Replace function to change the password in check macros. That way you don't have to re-record your check macros. |
Replace feature
Here are the steps how to change a password in check macros with the Replace function:
1. | Select bookmarks where passwords should be changed |
2. | Click Bookmarks in the main menu |
3. | Select "Search", then "Replace" |
4. | Enter the old and the new password |
5. | In the "Replace in" list select the option "[x] Check Macro" |
6. | Click OK |
