How to change a password in Check-Macros

User question:

> I have recorded several macros for a certain page where I have now a

> new password. Is it possible to change the password in existing

> check macros?

 

As passwords are stored encrypted in Check-Macros, it's not directly possible to change the password in the macro source. If you have to change the password in a check macro, you have two ways:

 

1.Re-record the check macro, or
 
2.Use the Replace function to change the password in check macros. That way you don't have to re-record your check macros.

Replace feature

Here are the steps how to change a password in check macros with the Replace function:

 

1.Select bookmarks where passwords should be changed
2.Click Bookmarks in the main menu
3.Select "Search", then "Replace"
4.Enter the old and the new password
5.In the "Replace in" list select the option "[x] Check Macro"
6.Click OK
