Does your product support logins?
User question:
> Does your product support logins?
WebSite-Watcher supports logins for many pages.
Via Cookie
Simplest way is when a page can save login information in a cookie. In that case, open the page in a browser tab of WebSite-Watcher and login to the page. This will write a cookie that will then be used when checking bookmarks.
If a page has a "stay logged in" option, then please try these steps:
1. | Create a new bookmark with the URL you want to monitor |
2. | Right click the bookmark in the bookmark list |
3. | Select "Browser" from the popup menu |
4. | Login to your account with the option to stay logged in. This will write a cookie then will then be used when checking the bookmark |
5. | Close this window |
Via Check-Macro
If it's not possible to save login information permanently in a cookie, then you can try to record a Check-Macro (either a Chromium Macro or an Internet Explorer Macro). This is something you have to try, many (but not all) logins can be automated with check macros.
