Send e-mails with GMail

To send e-mails with GMail, you have to use 2-Step Verification (also known as two-factor authentication) and create an application specific password (App Password) in your Google account.

 

If you don't already have 2-Step Verification enabled for your account, you must turn it on.

An App Password can be created in your Google account and has typically 16 random characters.

(for example "abjh jhuz dasx dfgs")

Connection: Full SSL

[x] Perform SMTP Authentication

User/Password: Your Email / App-Password *1)

 

*1) you have to enter the created App Password. Using your account password will not work.

 

POP3 is not required
